Local Mission Taskforce

We want our churches to be at the centre of our communities so our Local Mission Taskforce looks at ways of engaging with our communities through regular and one off events, not solely based on our regular services. Examples of this include Cream Teas in the summer; a Harvest Lunch for the elderly; a Christmas Bags for the Homeless project; Quiz nights; regular breakfast walks from Chipping Ongar to High Ongar finishing with breakfast in the Coffee Post and much much more.
See our Calendar of Events page for what’s on this year.
Links with other churches
Parish of High Ongar is part of the Ongar Mission and Ministry Unit (MMU). We aim to work together with other churches in the group to support each other and learn from best practise. Rev Stewart is also Priest in Charge of St Christopher’s church, Willingale.
